Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) is NetSuite's module for automating ASC 606 and IFRS 15 compliance. It handles revenue allocation across performance obligations, generates recognition schedules, and produces the waterfall reports auditors need.


When configured correctly, ARM eliminates manual journal entries, automates fair value allocation, and handles contract modifications without breaking downstream schedules. When configured poorly, it creates more work than it saves.


The difference between the two is almost always the quality of the initial design: how performance obligations are defined, how SSP is established, and how modification scenarios are mapped to your actual deal structures.
