NetSuite project costs don't always reflect the latest transactions immediately—especially when costs hit the GL through indirect paths. Project managers need to see current costs, not costs as of the last scheduled calculation.
We added an on-demand recalculation function that lets users trigger project cost rollups whenever needed, ensuring the project record reflects current financials before making decisions or sending reports.
A button on the project record triggers immediate cost recalculation, pulling current GL actuals and updating all project cost fields. The calculation runs for a single project or can be batched for multiple projects.
